Plans for the next few weeks

I’m rather busy with uni at the moment, so updates probably won’t be all that regular in the next few weeks. I’ll try to get a 0.3 beta out sometime this weekend or Monday, with some planned improvements to the kingdom, magic, thievery and send messages pages; but I guarantee nothing :p

Assuming that everything I want to include is included in 0.3b1, the current version (0.2b6) will probably be the last version offered as a Greasemonkey script. I am planning on using some of the resources only available to an XPI in the next version.

It will still remain essentially a compiled greasemonkey script, though, just with a few extra things thrown in there as a bonus.

Google+Youtube

Google has confirmed that it will be Youtube, at US$1.65 billion. Youtube’s founders have also posted a video on their site.

Oh yeah, and I fixed the no-red-colour thing on my monitor. Silly bent connector…

Seraphiel 0.2b6: XPI updated

The XPI has now been updated.

Seraphiel 0.2b6 released!

This version just lowers the impact of changes to the Buildings page. Instead of reformatting the whole thing and including the effects column, it just keeps the current format and shows the effect of the building you’ve got highlighted at the moment below.

The Greasemonkey script has been updated. I’ll (hopefully) update the XPI tonight.

Please tell me which version you prefer in the forums!

Slack

Yeah, yeah, I’ve been slack lately. Worse still, I don’t have an update on Seraphiel yet, or even tantalising promises of how close I am to a new version (not very).

I don’t really have an excuse either, this time around.

Well, ok, I have been busy with uni, but not that busy.

Anyway, the fact of the matter is, I’m mainly posting this to avoid feeling guilty about not posting anything in the last 6 days+a few hours.

On the plus side, I may offer you this link to a site sharing possibly completely unsubstantiated rumours are circling that Google will be buying Youtube, possibly for $1.6 billion. Good for them.

If you really want to know, my Windows boot sector corrupted the other day and in recent days my video card seems to be incapable of displaying any red. Which produces some interesting effects (particularly with Livejournal, as it only shows spelling errors in its US-”English” (grrrr….) in red font…).

Seraphiel 0.2b5 released!

Yeah, yeah, it has been a long time for a bug fix version, but I’ve been somewhat sick, and busy, and there are a few changes here.

• The Buildings calculator problems for Halflings and Elves has been fixed.
• Some style changes to a few themes, particularly regarding the resource box up the top
• Performance problems caused by turning locations into links have been cleared up

Both the Greasemonkey script and the XPI have been updated.
