New blog

I have a new (and more science-themed!) blog, at Moth Eyes. For the start, I’ll be reading through and blogging Charles Darwin’s The Voyage of the Beagle.

A lot of the functionality of this site will start to transition over there as well – I’ll be able to set up a proper page for Seraphiel & its updates, for example.

Seraphiel 0.84 released!

Seraphiel 0.84 is out – this fixes up some annoying bugs that have developed lately. These are:

• Removing the kingdom name from the kingdom page (preventing Angel from working)
• Putting the monarch message and date on the sidebar
• Not recording the date
• Buildings calculator not working after construction has been ordered.

All these have been fixed in the new version. Go install it now!

Seraphiel v0.83 released!

This version is updated for the new age. Reloading thievery operations seems to work again as well.

There are a few changes to the war room as well:

• Attacks are reloaded once immediately after being made. This happened a while ago, but was lost in a bug.
• When not reloading an attack, the number of generals is set to a default of 0.

This version will most probably not be compatible with the new Genesis, a new update will be needed once I know what URL that will be on.

Actually, maybe they couldn’t find a good review. Rotten Tomatoes gave it 8%, after all.

Seraphiel 0.82 released!

This version updates Seraphiel for the recent user interface changes, and enable Seraphiel for latest version of Firefox.

Seraphiel 0.81 released!

This version adds the link to Swirve/OMAC’s new blog, and should fix a small bug in the throne page formatters for very large offense and defense values.

Seraphiel 0.80 released!

To celebrate the release of Firefox 3, I had a bought of productivity and created a new version of Seraphiel. Here’s what’s new:

• Recorded T/M ops. All your T/M ops – including the results of intelligence-gathering – for the current hour* are listed on the mystic advisor page.
• Bug fix on the military cost calculator
• Bug fix on the Science page “Switch view” button – now it always shows up
• A quick link to the “Raze” page has been added to the top bar
• The back to construction link on the raze page now shows up again, even with an always-visible, lengthy monarch message

And, obviously, it’s compatible with Firefox 3, though it was like that already.

By now, I’m sure you’re keen to go and get Seraphiel now.

* T/M ops are stored separately, and are deleted when you do a thievery or magic op (respectively) in a different hour.
